Breathing Technique With Natural Botox Effect: Lion's Breath

Before practicing the Pranayama techniques written by Ebru Şinik in her book Hidden Life in Breath , you should especially pay attention to the list of contraindications. It is especially recommended that you watch the application video below before practicing.

Lion's breath is a breathing technique that creates a natural botox effect, as well as a technique used for mental detox, to gain courage in moments of fear, to increase the ability to speak, to increase self-confidence.

I recommend that people who cannot say "no" to anyone, to any request, who do not know how to say "no" should definitely practice this breath at least 1 set every day. By opening the blockages in the throat energy centre (chakra), it liberates you by evacuating the negativities created by the imprisoned expressions that remain knotted in your throat. Over time, you will be able to use the word no to avoid having to do something you don't want to do!

Especially with children who lack self-confidence or have a lot of fear, you can also apply it as a kind of game by standing in the lion position, that is, crawling.

General rules before application;

  • You can do it on the floor, sitting on a chair or standing.
  • Children of all ages can practice.
  • You can apply at least 3 breaths, maximum 7 breaths.
  • 1 time during the day is enough to experience the benefits.

Contraindications (It should not be applied if these symptoms are present)

  • There are no contraindications to this breathing technique. Everyone can practise it.

Benefits;

  • It strengthens the "platysma muscle" which controls the front of the throat, the skin muscle of the neck. By activating these muscles, it has a natural botox effect and delays the formation of age-related wrinkles on the skin.
  • It relieves nervous pressure on the neck, jaw, chest and face.
  • Relieves headache.
  • It is a very healing and encouraging exercise against all kinds of fears. Creates a sense of security.
  • Increases self-confidence.
  • Increases energy and vitality by accelerating blood circulation.
  • Strengthens and revitalises the voice.
  • Your verbal expression ability improves.
  • It releases and evacuates stress, fatigue and negative emotions.

How to Practise?

  • This breathing technique can be practised cross-legged on the floor, on your heels, sitting on a chair or even standing upright.
  • Firstly, breathe in through your nose and open your mouth and release the breath through your mouth by making a "HAAA" sound while sticking out your tongue as much as you can.
  • Repeat this breath 7 times.
